The Solution: Custom BigCommerce Checkout with Credential Verification, BOPIS, and FFL Compliance
Our team implemented a set of highly targeted checkout customizations, powered by the Ebizio Checkout app and custom BigCommerce checkout solutions, to support Mile High’s operational needs and regulatory requirements.
Buy Online, Pick Up in Store (BOPIS)
We enabled a custom BOPIS option available at the shipping step of checkout. When selected:
- The store’s address is auto-filled
- A corresponding pickup shipping method is pre-selected
- Sales tax is calculated based on the store’s location
- Document upload is disabled, since documentation will be collected onsite

Document Uploads for Credential Verification
To support compliance for certain product categories, we created a prompt for document verification at checkout, when applicable.
- Triggered when specific products are present in the cart

- Offers a “Remove My Items” option
- Lets returning customers skip re-uploading credentials if previously approved
- Files are securely stored and referenced in Order Comments
