What it does
After you’ve notified us of all the product tabs you’ll need we update your product page template to match. Since we do not alter the back office of BigCommerce, you will still need to enter information into the “product description” field or the warranty field depending upon your specific needs. In order to put that information in the correct tabs we give you a framework to use when entering product descriptions. We’ll also provide detailed documentation on how to use this framework for your products. When looking at the product page from the front end you will see all information in the correct tabs rather than just in the product description.

Why Do I Need This?
Not every product can fit all of their information into a generic “Product Description” section, or the other out-of-the-box product fields in BigCommerce. With our customization, your product page can have the right information that you need to give to your customers so they can make a purchase.

Will all of the custom tabs display for every product?
No, each tab will only populate if you’ve added in information for its section.
What if I decide I don't want to display my product information in tabs at all anymore?
In the back office of your BigCommerce store, navigate to “Store Setup” > “Store Settings” and click on the “Display” tab. Uncheck the box next to “Enable Product Tabs?” and your product information will display in blocks on the page instead of within tabs.
