This ProStores Plugin takes your featured categories and creates a tab for each one, allowing you to show up to 5 products for each category.
Set-Up & Maintenance Instructions
- Go to Product > Categories > List and click a root level category you’d like to set up.
- Click the “Update” button.
- List the products by SKU in the “Description” field separated by a commas. Example: sku-123,CWO-655321,PROD-1023,102032.
- Check the “Featured Category: [ ] Make this a featured category for my store” box.
- Click “Submit”.
Considerations
- This plugin uses the category’s description to work. You should choose a product list that doesn’t display the category descriptions.
- The tabs show up in alphabetical order. This can’t be adjusted.
- ProStores only allows 5 featured categories. We think any more than this is overkill in 99% of situations. We can change how these categories are selected for 1 hour of development time.
